Stage Management
Working as a stage manager at Booker T has allowed me to expand my knowledge and perception of theatre. From working on smaller shows in the 10-minute play festival to becoming part of the legacy management team for the Mime Showcase I have really fallen in love with being a part of the world of backstage theatre.
Stage Managing the Mime Show is a completely different beast than stage managing any other show. It's considered a legacy show at Booker T, meaning that you start as an Assistant Stage Manger your Sophomore and Junior year learning the inner workings of the show before being the head Stage Manager your Senior Year. With only physical cues and no real script, as the show is written throughout the entire rehearsal process, it is important that the Stage manager be organized, and observant.
Sophomore Assistant Stage Manager
Curse of the Cross was the mime showcase piece of the 2021-2022 school year. Being the Sophomore Assistant Stage Manager was my first experience stage managing a large show.
Junior Assistant Stage Manager
Utopia was the Mime Showcase piece of the 2022-2023 school year this show was written and choreographed entirely by the Director and Cast members.
